Pier Paolo Pasolini Archive is situated at Pier Paolo Pasolini Study Centre, in G.A. Pasolini Street, Casarsa della Delizia. It comprises Pasolini’s original manuscripts and typewritten documents dating back to the friulian period of his literary activity; original and photocopied epistles written between Pasolini and various correspondents or leading figures not only from the Friulian literary world; some first printed editions of Pasolini and works promoted by the poet (as some volumes of “Stroligut”); political manifestos dated back to 1949; photographic material; some paintings made by Pasolini; original manuscripts and typewritten documents of the poet Domenico Naldini, Pasolini’s cousin.This archive was created thanks to a focused policy based on data acquisition by the province of Pordenone and the municipality of Casarsa as well as the heritage that the Ciceri gave to the municipality.On June 18th 2010 Pasolini archive was declared “asset of cultural interest “of great importance from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities –the directorate in charge of Cultural Heritage and Landscape of Friuli Venezia Giulia – in accordance to the article 10, paragraph 3letter b, of the Legislative Decree 42 of January 22nd  2002 and worth a “special protection” by the Archive Superintendence of Friuli Venezia Giulia.According to the Archive Superintendence of FVG, the documents preserved at the Study Centre will be subjected to a scientific cataloguing, and a periodical reorganization and inventory  (arts.21, paragraphs 4 and 31, art.27, 28, ss 29,43). The archive cannot be dismembered (art. 20 paragraph 2).The Archive or single documents can be temporary moved to art exhibitions of high cultural interest (art.66) and for other reasons written in art.67, while providing always their entirety and safety. The archive is achievable only for study and research activities upon agreement and against written request attested by Cultural Corporations or by Universities. The reproduction or the publication of the documents are not allowed without permission.
