Una bellissima iniziativa in ricordo di Pasolini si terrà a Bruxelles presso la libreria Passa Porta (rue Antoine Dansaert), punto di riferimento internazionale delle letterature nella capitale belga. Domenica 6 maggio 2016, dalle ore 14 alle ore 21, con pausa intermedia dalle 18 alle 19, un manipolo di lettori, notissimi o meno, leggerà e commenterà un passo a propria scelta dalla sterminata opera di Pasolini, come per una ideale antologia attraversata da punti di vista differenti. A chiusura di questo variegato coro di voci anche due nomi di robusto spessore culturale e testimoniale: René de Ceccaty, biografo e traduttore francese di Pasolini, e Graziella Chiarcossi, erede e curatrice degli scritti dell’illustre cugino Pier Paolo, che per l’occasione riceverà il Nobel-contro corrente del Passa Porta.

Forty years ago, on the night of 1 November 1975, the acclaimed poet, novelist and film-maker Pier Paolo Pasolini was murdered in a most gruesome manner on the beach at Ostia near Rome. Continuing its tradition of great readers’ tributes (Kafka, Borges, Claus, Boon), Passa Porta is inviting dozens of known and unknown Pasolini admirers to recite and comment on their favourite passage from his literary work over the course of an afternoon and evening, each in his or her own language. Their readings and comments will thus create a new kind of Pasolini anthology, reflecting different ways in which this immense body of work can be explored and appreciated today.
With, among others, Paul Magnette, Patrick Lateur, Geert van Istendael, Luc Devoldere,Frank Vande Veire, members of the Brussels Poetry Collective, and the French Pasolini-biographer and translator René de Ceccatty. At the end of the event, none other than Graziella Chiarcossi, Pasolini’s cousin and heir to his estate, will receive the fifth Passa Porta Noble Prize, a nod to all those major authors who never received a Nobel Prize.
